  1. All returns and documents prepared on behalf of the client will use information provided by the client. This information will be collected through hand written notes, client provided documents, verbal communication, and alternative sources. All tax returns, financials, estimates, budgets and additional prepared items are the sole responsibility of the client. Bowen Accounting, Richard Bowen, CPA and any associates are not liable for the content of documents, prepared returns, related taxes, fines, penalties or interest, the cost of re-creation of documents, cost of audits or any other arising costs.
  2. Fees for services are payable based on time spent working on the client file, discussions with the client, reviewing documents, emails and research regarding the same. Fees are due and payable regardless if a specified project was completed. Fees are also due and payable regardless of the client’s satisfaction with the ultimate outcome of the project.
  3. If the client misses a scheduled appointment a $75 charge will be added to you bill, and will be due regardless of whether additional services are provided.
  4. Using email to deliver documents and tax information is not the most secure way to communicate or store client information. We take additional security measures on our side to increase the safety of your information. It is the client’s choice to transfer files by email, and any liability for lost or stolen information is the clients.
  5. One party agreeing to the terms is sufficient, but they are agreeing for all parties. Corporate officers and entity owners are personally liable for any unpaid fees. In the event that there is any legal action, it will be the responsibility of the agreeing party to deal directly with any party they agreed for on their behalf.
  6. All client information is kept in strict confidence and not shared with other organizations outside of the following circumstances. Personal information given to Bowen Accounting throughout the course of doing business, during consulting work, or other project work, may be used in the collections process, whether internally by Bowen Accounting and its associates or by a third party contracted specifically for collections. This information includes but is not limited to names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdates, social security numbers, and bank account information.
  7. In the event that a bill goes unpaid for over 60 days and Bowen Accounting determines that a third party debt collector is necessary, the cost of said service will be added to your bill. This cost is generally between 40-60% of the original bill.
  8. In the event that legal action or mediation is required to collect any amounts due, all legal fees, mediator fees, court costs, and professional services required on the part of Bowen Accounting to collect the amount due, gain a judgement, or collect the judgement will be paid by the client.
  9. In the event that there is an issue with the return that has caused additional tax, penalties or interest, that is the fault of Bowen Accounting Inc, the tax due is never the responsibility of the Bowen Accounting Inc, penalties may be refunded to the extent of fees paid to Bowen Accounting Inc, interest will not be refunded because the client may have had access to funds that they may have earned interest on.
  10. All terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.
  11. Signing below or agreeing online is confirmation that you have read and understood all of these terms, and agree with them.
